Recently our Fenwick South development in Lambeth hosted visitors from Reading University as part of our Social Value commitments on behalf of our client, Transport For London. The site visit included a presentation from Chris Wisby, Senior Development Project Manager (TfL) and Mulalley’s Senior Project Manager. This was then followed by an informative tour around our site with students able to ask questions about construction methods, employment opportunities, the importance of health and safety and the challenges involved on managing logistics on large developments in the middle of London.
John Moore, Mulalley New Build Managing Director, said: “Mulalley was delighted to host students from Reading University at our Fenwick South Estate Site; with the current labour crisis in the construction industry it is more important than ever to inspire youth about a career in construction. We really hope students and teachers enjoyed their tour of the site and a big thank you to our Senior Project Manager for a fantastic tour and being a great host.”
Mulalley is currently working on behalf of Transport For London on the Fenwick South Estate development, to provide 46 new affordable homes and the construction of a new community centre, with these events forming part of a collaborative social value plan with Lambeth and Transport for London.
