Recently our Fenwick Estate South development in Lambeth hosted visitors from several schools as part of our Social Value commitments on behalf of our client Transport For London. Students from Appleton School, Woodlands School, La Retraite RC Girl’s School, London Design & Engineering UTC, New Victoria 6th Form and Sir George Monoux College were toured around our site by our Senior Project Manager. Students were able to ask questions about construction methods, employment opportunities, the importance of health and safety and the challenges involved on managing logistics on large developments in the middle of London. 

James Carruthers, Mulalley New Build Construction Director, said: “Mulalley was delighted to host students from so many schools at our Fenwick South Estate Site; with the current labour crisis in the construction industry it is more important than ever to inspire youth about a career in construction. We really hope students and teachers enjoyed their tour of the site and a big thank you to our Senior Project Manager for a fantastic tour and being a great host.” 

Mulalley is currently working on behalf of Transport For London on the development of 46 new social rent residential units and the construction of a new community centre, with this site tour forming part of a collaborative social value plan with Lambeth and Transport for London.
