Since the launch of our Mulalley Marketplace, we have continued to support local community organisations, colleges, training centres and charities through donating materials as part of our sustainability scheme to reduce waste generated onsite.
This week we donated 15 doors to New City College Rainham Construction and Engineering campus, which will be used by the students as part of their carpentry courses.
Julian Sanz, Head Of Social Value at Mulalley said: “Mulalley was delighted to be able to find a home for these doors, we hope that the students enjoy honing their carpentry skills with our donation”.
Sean Robinson, Mulalley’s Sustainability & Environmental Officer said: “The UK construction industry wastes 120 millions tonnes of material every year. We are happy to be enabling the upcycling of surplus building material, reducing our impact on the environment and being part of the change that is needed in our industry”.
Mulalley is currently working on behalf of Be First on two new build sites at Oxlow Lane and Woodward Road. This donation forms part of our wider social value offering in the area.
If you are a community group, education or training provider that feels they can benefit from joining the Mulalley Marketplace, please contact either julian.sanz@mulalley.co.uk or sean.robinson@mulalley.co.uk to be added to our mailing list.
