Mulalley architects achieve success with distinction via the apprenticeship scheme

Mulalley Architectural Designers Billy Taylor and Matthew Burroughs have recently qualified as Chartered Architects via the prestigious Oxford Brookes University, Level 7, Architectural Apprenticeship scheme. They are the first two students in the country to qualify as Architects via this route.

Billy and Matt studied alongside other students from world renowned architectural practices including Rogers Stirk Harbour, Heatherwick Studio’s and Fosters + Partners. They were the only students on the course selected to complete the final Part 3 Examination early and both achieved a Distinction.

The course was set up in 2018 to improve the qualification route to becoming an Architect by merging practical work based experience with university education. Mulalley has created a lasting relationship with Oxford Brookes University and have subsequently enrolled four other employees onto the course.

Richard Prince, Mulalley Director of Architecture said: “We are incredibly proud of the skill, dedication and hard work that Billy and Matthew demonstrated throughout their apprenticeship and congratulate them on their well-deserved success in qualifying as Architects. We look forward to continuing and developing our relationship with Oxford Brookes University by supporting other students to qualify via this excellent course.”
