Mulalley Supports Lewisham Local Charity

As part of our social value commitments in Lewisham, Mulalley made a generous donation of 250 high-visibility vests to Lewisham Local.

Lewisham Local is a charity that has existed for over 20 years serving local communities who strengthen Lewisham’s voluntary and community sectors. They connect individuals, organisations and businesses to increase awareness of the good causes and needs in the community.

Mulalley was appointed by Peabody to design and build 144 new homes across a range of tenures including social rent; private for sale and low‐cost shared ownership dwellings for first‐time buyers. The scheme involves refurbishing and converting the old Tidemill School buildings to deliver top‐quality new homes and exemplar green space for residents and the wider community to enjoy. Works at Frankham Street are anticipated to be completed in late Summer 2023.

John Moore, Managing Director for our New Build Division said: “It is so important for us support meaningful causes, that encourage communities to connect and charities such as Lewisham Local to deliver services that makes a real difference in the local area and in the borough.”

Dee Saund, Volunteering Programme Manager at Lewisham Local said: “The hi-vis vests donated by Mulalley mean that volunteers can easily be identified when volunteering at the various Lewisham Borough of Culture events and community projects throughout the year, allowing audiences to instantly recognise them as ambassadors. They will help volunteers feel more connected, enabling them to feel part of the team that will bring together the Borough of Culture programme throughout the year. We are grateful to Mulalley for their generosity in donating the vests to help us achieve this.”
