Mulalley met with Councillor Darren Rodwell, Leader of Barking and Dagenham Council, on site at Oxlow Lane to celebrate the commencement of works for 63 new homes in Dagenham.

These new homes will consist of 19 one bedroom, 29 two bedroom and 15 three bedroom flats. The development will be 100 percent affordable with 35 per cent on London Affordable Rent.

Councillor Rodwell said: “It’s great to see work get underway on these new homes for local people.

“The rents will be among the lowest in London and with the new heating system, which will keep down energy costs, these homes will be among the most affordable in the capital.”

To mark the occasion, Mulalley CEO Eamon O’Malley presented Councillor Rodwell with a ceremonial shovel.

Building work is currently scheduled to be finished by December 2023.
