Mulalley supports STEM professions event in Dagenham

Supported by Mulalley, the Jo Richardson Community School in Dagenham recently hosted a STEM professions career morning for years 8 and 9 students.

STEM is the term used to group together the academic disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Pupils that excel in STEM subjects are set to play a huge role in the growth of the UK economy and the country's future.

Sonia Patel, a Mulalley architect, engaged with 160 students, many of them asking lots of questions to the professionals.

Sonia said: “The event went well and was very organised. The students were very engaging and asked lots of key questions. I had taken a few drawings with me which they really enjoyed looking at and understanding the process behind it.

It was good to be able to change the perception of architects that the students had and give them a much more realistic insight into what we do and the broader picture”.

Mulalley is currently working in Barking and Dagenham delivering two new build developments at Oxlow Lane and Woodward Road for BeFirst.
