Mulalley secures place on First Dynamic Purchasing System for Fire Suppression Systems

Mulalley has secured a place on Fusion21’s national dynamic purchasing system (DPS) for Fire Suppression Systems and Associated Works – worth up to £150 Million over a five-year period.

The DPS will enable members to access services including the management of the design, supply, installation and maintenance of fire suppression systems; fire safety works and sprinkler systems and the installation and maintenance of water mist and associated systems – in addition to Fusion21’s existing comprehensive fire safety offer which includes fire risk assessments plus passive and active fire safety.

Following a fully compliant application process assessing experience and capability, Mulalley has been successfully awarded a place amongst a pool of fire safety suppliers who will compete to deliver works on behalf of Fusion21 members.

Mulalley Preconstruction Director Simon Coveley said: “We look forward to working with Fusion21 to help them deliver their DPS for Fire Suppression Systems and Associated Works.”

Dave Neilson, Chief Executive at Fusion21 said: “From social landlords to educational institutions and hospitals, our members can now ensure buildings meet correct fire safety standards whilst selecting a procurement route that has the flexibility to respond to any future changes in legislation or within the wider marketplace.

“In addition to benefiting from greater efficiency savings and value for money, members can opt to service all of their fire safety requirements in one place – including choosing from a range of fire suppression systems.”

The DPS system supports registered providers to comply with Section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, and will remain open for new suppliers.

Fusion21 is a national procurement organisation and social enterprise, offering a range of procurement and community regeneration services for property, construction and the built environment.

The firm works with more than 400 members - providing procurement expertise and OJEU compliant frameworks to the education, blue light and social housing sectors, in addition to working alongside NHS Trusts and local authorities.

To date, Fusion21 has delivered £177 million savings through the procurement process, created more than 4,000 jobs and generated £68 million of community impact.
