Mulalley recently supported an interview skills day at All Saints School in Dagenham. This event was organised to allow Year 10 students first contact with a variety of employers and was to prepare students for their work experience at the end of February.
The sessions offered students guidance on identifying their skills and qualities, interview techniques, as well as how to make a good first impression. Two facilitators from Mulalley interviewed students throughout the day and both the interviewers and students completed an evaluation form which will hopefully guide the students in future interview scenarios.
Susan Edwards from All Saints School said: “A very worthwhile experience for all our Year 10 students. It gives them the confidence to approach difficult situations more positively and emerge with a big smile on their face at the end of it.”
A year 10 student commented: “It helped me turn my weaknesses into strengths.”
Mulalley Operations Director John Moore said: “It was great to see these young employees of the future engage with this interview skills day. We wish these students all the best in their future career choices.”
Mulalley is currently working with Barking and Dagenham Council to deliver the first phase of the Leys Estate regeneration in Dagenham, providing new high quality housing with improved links to the neighbouring park.
