Mulalley site hoarding wins National Competition

Mulalley, together with Garfield Primary School have won the Considerate Constructor Scheme “Ivor Goodsite Hoarding Competition 2015”.

Mulalley invited children from nearby Garfield Primary School in Enfield to create a piece of artwork to be displayed as site hoarding on their Ladderswood site. Following a school competition, school children aged between 8 and 11 spent a day at Mulalley’s site compound creating their masterpiece with the theme “Beautify Enfield”.

David Newson, Assistant Head Teacher at Garfield Primary School commented: “This was a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn about ‘Graffiti Art’ and experience designing and creating a beautiful design. The children loved the whole experience.”

Jake (aged 11) said: “It was a magical day. My parents saw the graffiti art and were amazed!”

Mulalley Operations Director, John Moore said: “We are thrilled to have won and the decorated hoarding has really brightened up our site. Mulalley is always keen to engage with the communities around our sites and working with Garfield Primary School was a great example of this.”

Mulalley is working in partnership with One Housing Group and Enfield Council to regenerate the Ladderswood Estate in Enfield. The regeneration will create over 500 new homes, a community centre, a hotel and 1,400 sqm of commercial space.
